When setting up e-mail on POPP.com's network, please verify that all e-mail users have the correct e-mail settings. If you do not have the correct e-mail settings, your e-mail may not work correctly in the future.
To determine if your e-mail settings are correct:
1. Go to the instructions below for the version of e-mail you utilize.
2. Open your e-mail and follow the steps (making NO changes) up to the highlighted section.
- If your highlighted section states mail.popp.net, pop.popp.net, or smtp.popp.net go to 3.
- If your highlighted section states something else no changes need to be made at this time.
3. Non-mobile users outgoing e-mail settings must be smtp.popp.net.
Mobile users (you are considered a mobile user if, while from the office you access the internet via POPP.com´s ISP and while from home or traveling you access the internet utilizing the same computer, but a different ISP) outgoing e-mail settings must be mobilesmtp.popp.net.
If your e-mail settings are incorrect, please adjust the e-mail settings according to the directions below:

OUTLOOK 2002/2003 :
- Go to Tools
- Select E-mail Accounts
- Select View or Change existing E-mail accounts
- Highlight your E-mail account by clicking on it
- Click on Change
- In the Incoming mail server (POP3) box type in: pop.popp.net
- In the Outgoing mail server (SMTP) box type in: smtp.popp.net (non-mobile users)
or
- mobilesmtp.popp.net (mobile users)
- Click next at the bottom
- Click on finish

OUTLOOK 97 :
- Go to Tools
- Select Services
- Click on Internet Mail to Highlight
- Click on Properties
- In the Internet Mail server box type in: pop.popp.net
- Click on the Advanced Options button
- In the Forward all outbound mail to the following mail server box type in: smtp.popp.net (non-mobile users)
or
- mobilesmtp.popp.net (mobile users)
- Click OK

OUTLOOK EXPRESS/OUTLOOK 2000 :
- Go to Tools
- Select Accounts
- Highlight your E-mail account by clicking on it
- Click on the Properties button to the right
- On the new dialog box that pops up click on the servers tab
- In the Incoming mail (POP3) box
- type in: pop.popp.net
- In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) box type in: smtp.popp.net (non-mobile users)
or
- mobilesmtp.popp.net (mobile users)
- Click OK at the bottom
- Click Close

NETSCAPE 7 :
- Click on Edit
- Select Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings
- Click on Server Settings from the Menu on the left hand side
- In the Server Name box type in: pop.popp.net
- Scroll down on the Menu on the left side, and click on the Outgoing Server (SMTP) option
- In the Server Name field type in: smtp.popp.net (non-mobile users)
or
- mobilesmtp.popp.net (mobile users)
- Click OK

OUTLOOK 98 :
- Go to Tools
- Select Services
- Click on Internet E-mail Outlook98 to Highlight
- Click on Properties
- On the new dialog box that pops up click on the servers tab
- In the Incoming mail (POP3) box type in: pop.popp.net
- In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) box type in: smtp.popp.net (non-mobile users)
or
- mobilesmtp.popp.net (mobile users)
- Click OK
- Click OK
