E-mail Instructions – Change Your E-mail Password
|
Outlook 2007
- Go to Tools and scroll down to Account Settings
- Click the E-mail tab and click New
- Make sure the option for Microsoft Exchange, POP3 is selected, then click Next
- Click Manually Configure, then Next
- Select Internet E-mail, then click Next
- Under Internet E-mail Settings, enter the required information:
- Your Name: your name or company name
- E-mail Address: your full e-mail address
- Account Type: POP3
- Incoming Mail Server: pop.popp.net
- Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.popp.net
- User Name: your full e-mail address
- Password: passwords are case sensitive
- Check Remember Password, then Next
- Click Finish

Windows Mail (Microsoft Vista)
- Go to Tools
- Select Menu > Accounts > Add
- Select E-mail Account, then click Next
- Enter Display Name
- Enter E-mail Address
- Enter Incoming Mail: pop.popp.net
- Enter Outgoing Mail: smtp.popp.net
- Enter E-mail Username: full e-mail address
- Enter Password: passwords are case sensitive
- Select Remember Password
- Select Download E-mail Now
- Click Finish

Outlook 2003
- Go to Tools
- Select E-mail Accounts > Add, then click Next
- Select POP3, then click Next
- At User Information, enter your name as you want people to see it, then click Next
- At E-mail Address, enter your entire e-mail address
- At Login Information:
- Enter your user name which is your full
e-mail address
- Enter your password; passwords are case sensitive
- At Server Information:
- Incoming Mail Server: pop.popp.net
- Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.popp.net
- Click Next, then Finish

Outlook 2002
- Go to Tools
- Select E-mail Accounts
- Select Add a New E-mail Account, then click Next
- Select POP3 Server Type, click Next
- Enter the following information:
- Your Name: enter your name or company name
- E-mail Address: your full e-mail address
- Incoming Mail Server: pop.popp.net
- Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.popp.net
- User Name: your full e-mail address
- Password: enter password; passwords are
case sensitive
- Check Remember Password, then Next
- Click Finish

Outlook 2000
- Go to Tools
- Select Accounts
- In the Internet Accounts dialog box, select
Add > Mail
- At Display Name, enter your name or company name, then click Next
- At E-mail Address, enter your entire e-mail address, then click Next
- Incoming Mail Server: POP3 Account
Incoming Mail Server: pop.popp.net
- Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server: smtp.popp.net
- Click Next
- In Account Name, enter your entire e-mail address
- Enter password; passwords are case sensitive
- Click Next
- Select how you want to connect to the Internet: LAN, Manually, or Phone Line
- Click Finish

Outlook Express
- Go to Tools
- Select Accounts > Add > Mail
- At Display Name, enter your name as you want people to see it, then click Next
- At Account Name, enter your entire e-mail address in lower case letters, then click Next
- Incoming Mail Server: POP3 Account
- Incoming Mail Server: mail.popp.net
- Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server: smtp.popp.net
- Click Next
- Select Logon Using:
- Account Name: enter full e-mail address
- Password: enter password; passwords are
case sensitive
- Select Remember Password, then Next
- Click Finish
- In the Internet Accounts dialog box, highlight ‘mail.popp.net’ and click Set As Default
- Click OK to close

Outlook 98
- Go to Tools
- Select Internet > E-mail > Properties
- Go to the General tab:
- Name: Enter your real name or company name
- Email Address: enter your full e-mail address
- Reply Address: enter your full e-mail address
- Go to the Server tab:
- Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.popp.net
- Incoming Mail Server: popp.popp.net
- Account Name: your entire email address
- Password: enter password; passwords are
case sensitive
- Choose connection: Select ‘Connect using my
LAN’ or ‘Connect using my phone line’
- Click Apply, then OK
- Click OK to exit the Services box
- Exit and restart Outlook

Mozilla Thunderbird 3
- Go to Tools and select Account Settings
- Click on Account Actions
- Select Add Mail Account
Option 1: popp,net E-mail Account
- Enter your information in the Your Name, E-mail Address and
Password fields
- Click Continue
- Thunderbird 3 will attempt to find the e-mail servers for the
account and should succeed
- Incoming Server: pop.popp.net Port 110
- Outgoing Server: smtp.popp.net Port 25
- Click Create Account to complete setup
Option 2: Customer Owned Domain E-mail Account
- Enter your name, e-mail address and password, click Next
- Thunderbird 3 will attempt to find the e-mail servers, but will
fail; once it fails, click Manual Setup
- Select Server Settings underneath the new e-mail address
- Server Name: pop.popp.net Port 110
- Select Outgoing Server (SMTP)
- You should see the domain in the box; highlight it and
select Edit
- Server Name: smtp.popp.net and Port 25, click OK
- Click OK
