Fire and Flood Backup Plan

Available to POPP customers with Central Office Line and Voice T-1 service.

In times of crisis or emergency, it is difficult to determine how to move forward. Once a plan is established, it takes time to get your business back up and running, which leaves the question: “How do we maintain contact with our customers in the meantime?”  POPP provides a solution.

POPP’s Fire and Flood Backup Plan was developed to help your business reestablish communication with your customers, suppliers, and employees within hours. In a time of crisis, POPP will provide your business with the following: 

  • A 16’ x 24’ space in our building
  • Accommodations for up to six people including central office lines and up to six telephones, desks and chairs
  • Call forwarding to the telephone stations located in your temporary space in our building*
  • Access to the Internet with bandwidth similar to your company’s existing bandwidth**

Q: What resources are available for us to develop a disaster recovery plan?

Q: What kind of office equipment will be supplied?
A: We will provide up to six telephones, desks, and chairs.
 
Q: How will our company make and receive calls?
A: We will provide you with phone lines for making and receiving calls. In addition, we will forward your calls to the telephone stations in your temporary space in our building.* 
 
Q: How many people can fit in the space provided?
A: We will provide accommodations for up to six people.
 
Q: How long can our company stay in the temporary emergency space? What is the cost?
A: During the first 30 days, the only charge you will incur is your monthly POPP invoice. After 30 days, the charge is $50/day (accommodations for two people), plus an additional $10/day per person (up to six people). After 60 days, rates will be negotiated monthly.

  * In order for POPP to forward your calls, your main telephone number must be on POPP’s service.
** You must be a POPP Internet customer. In order for POPP to assist you in viewing your e-mails,
